West Virginia TANF ("WV Works")
WV Works is West Virginia's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. It provides cash aid and services to eligible families that have a child(ren) in the home. If a family has little or no cash and needs housing, food, utilities, clothing or medical care, they may be eligible to receive short-term assistance to help pay for necessary expenses.

West Virginia SNAP
West Virginia's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (aka SNAP or Food Stamps) helps eligible low-income households buy the food they need. It provides funds on an "EBT Card," which can be used to buy food at most grocery stores and other retailers that sell food.

West Virginia Medicaid
West Virginia Medicaid is a public health insurance program that provides free or low-cost health care services to certain low-income individuals, including eligible adults, children, caretakers, seniors, people with disabilities, and pregnant individuals. The program is administered by the state, and funded jointly by the state and the federal government.

West Virginia CHIP
West Virginia's Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides low-cost health insurance coverage to children in families, pregnant women, and new mothers who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid. The program is administered by the state, and funded jointly by the state and the federal government.
